Unless you are all caught up on who’s who in the inner circle of the world’s top innovate designers, the name Thomas Meyerhoffer may not ring any bells. But his design projects over the past decade have all had massive impacts on their respective industries. From windsurfing, to snowboards, to computers he’s revolutionized the field.
Basically the guy’s a fucking genius.
I was especially impressed with his surfboard designs. It eliminates the old longboard model which was basically one long fiberglass piece. Instead, he takes the shape of a shortboard and blends it with the traditional longboard nose. From what I can tell, it offers the versatility and agility of a shortboard, while still providing the balancing dimensions required for some nose riding. The boards have started launch in Australia and NZ, and definitely excited to see what riders there think.
